    Our trip was in October, and it was cold in the morning. In the picture my dad has on his overcoat, and was still too cold, so he has borrowed my scarf and has it wrapped around his head (it is Navy and gold). The arid South Rim is pleasant, even in the peak of summer. It gets nippy in the winter. The inner gorge OTOH is relentlessly hot in the summer. So be prepared for this.
