Fly or Drive, Drive or Fly

by stappm Written Oct 20, 2005

Every year I re-think driving the Havasu..... it's about 10 hours and there is an airport in Havasu..... expensive but America West does fly there. It is cheaper to fly into Vegas but by the time we have ended up renting a car and driving down to Havasu we could have driven from home.... plus the expense of it. But with gas prices lately... even in a deisel... all the way from SF?.... And well it is nice and perhaps mandatory to have a car once there..... unless you have friends already there......

see what I mean... difficult decision!

    City Transit Services

by PerryandAmy Updated Feb 20, 2004

Seven days a week and 6am to 9pm Mon-Fri, and 6am to 6pm on Sat and Sun is when the City Transit Services run. The public transit is very nice and clean inside. All you have to do is call them from where you are in Havasu and for 3 bucks they'll take you anywhere in the city.

The only way to get to Lake...

The only way to get to Lake Havasu is to take either I-10 or I-40 and then drive either north (I-10) or south (I-40) on a highway for about an hour. The only way to get there is by car.
It's not a big place, so a car isn't essential but sure does help.

The best way to get to Lake Havasu City is by car.
While you are there you should go around by a fast speed boat!! =)
