Being retired and living in Sadlebrook we like to try different restaurants and compare.Nonna Maria`s in Oracle Az. is just the ticket if you want great Italiann food and a glass of wine. Huge menu to choose from and a nice assortment of sandwiches also. We had pizza and a salad that was all most to much to eat for 2 people and the price was under $30.00. The next time we had pasta and it also was delicious and great price. They have a patio to sit out and view the sunsets and great view of the mountains. Friendly waitstaff and the owners are from Italy and know how to make true Italian food. On the second visit they even called us by name.
Favorite Dish: Pasta Carbonara is to die for it has Italian ham, bacon and egg over a alferdo sauce and pasta.
The shrimp primevera is also a winner. Pizza was also good and saw several different combinations going out that we will try next time.
There is a new place opening around July 2008 called the Oracle Inn. It will have steak, seafood, and other food along with a full-service bar. There is not much nightlife available in Oracle at this time, so it will be a welcome addition to town.
There is also a restaurant from a small chain of restaurants called Nonna Maria's in Oracle. I did not eat here either I opted for De Marco's to support the small businessperson. The locals I talked to said the food is good; but De Marco's is cheaper and more friendly. I just wanted to give you all the available options in Oracle I could.
De Marco's is a small pizzeria and Italian Restaurant located in the town of Oracle. It has a small town atmosphere, with a friendly staff. It is cozier than the other Italian place in town. De Marco's is open 7 days a week: 8 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday; 7 AM to 9 PM Saturday; and 9 AM to 9 PM on Sunday.
Favorite Dish: I had the lasagna and it was good.
The Mexican Restaurant in Oracle, Casa Rivera, is also highly recommended by the locals. Unfortunately it was closed on the day I drove through here.
