    (Durant's) Excellent... this place is a Phoenix Institution... Its been around for quite a while. You park behind the restaurant and walk in through the kitchen (which makes you feel like a big shot), where you can see the steaks a sizzlin... Inside its dimmly lit, with very classy n classic, predominantly deep red decor....

    Grub is fantastic... No doubt, this restaurant is a high dollar, first class affair. Everything is fresh, and excellent...The start you with a plate of chilled fresh vegetables... then, you take it.... great appitizers and salads... the steaks are some of the best in town... This is generally where I go on my birthday, cause its not an everyday thing, unless youve got buku bucks...although they do have excellent gourmet burgers as a minor splurge for lunch... Yes, its pricey... but, premium steaks at a fine restaurant cost money.

    Sirloin, or the durants delmonico is always a good bet..... Great seafood.... pair up a lobster and a steak, if you just wanna blow the rest of your cash... although, phoenix has too many good restaurants to splurge at one... and please, skip the chain restaurants if your a visitor here.
    Good wine list generally as well.....
    The place is 5 star all the way....

    This place was right in the hotel so it was convenient to order a steak for room service. Put me right to sleep!
    The photo shows the bar of the restaurant which is located in the open atrium of the hotel.

  • Building is well over 100 years old. It was a stop for travelers from the very beginning.

    Any steak on the menu!

  • Not surprisingly by the name it is an Australian themed steakhouse. Most things on the menu is steak although there are really nice fish options and some pasta options and salads.
    They call chips, chips and not french fries like most places in the US.

    I ate the fish of the day, which was lightly seasoned and grilled. It was served with fresh vegetables. Good size portion. You will also get some delicious dark brown bread. They are very quick at refilling your drinks.

    The steaks are very fat!

  • Go to the Flemings in DC Ranch...the entire atmosphere of that area is great. Flemings has a nice patio area where you can watch the sunset with drinks and/or dinner. Everything is a-la-carte so you can order several side dishes and share. Servers are friendly, prompt and unobtrusive (great when meeting on business).

    Any of the steaks are amazing. If you like bleu cheese, order the Wedge salad. You'll want to go back.
