Another recommended stop in San Carlos would be the Apache Cultural Center. The Apache Cultural Center hosts a variety of displays about the Apache Nation past and present. It is also a good place to purchase books, authentic crafts and jewelry, and other souvenirs. The Cultural Center is open from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

The Apache Gold Casino opened in June, 1994. The resort is a highlight of any visit to the reservation for any gambler and is located on US Highway 70 five minutes east of Globe. The casino offers a variety of gaming opportunities. There is a 146 room Best Western Hotel, nearby along with Apache Stronghold – an 18-hole championship golf course, a cabaret with live entertainment, a 60-space RV park and other amenities for visitors.
