Budweiser - King of all Beers?
Favorite thing: Let’s make no secret of it. We both like a nice cold glass of beer. Being abroad is always a challenge to find a beer we like, which reflects our taste of having a beer. In America it wasn’t really that hard to find the brand we liked, it was clearly Budweiser, popularly referred to as Bud.
Budweiser is a lager made with a proportion of rice as a substitute adjunct for barley malt. This immedaitely shows the problem for selling it in Europe as traditional brewers serve beer with only the four main ingredients (water, hops, wheat and barley). So Budweiser is not produced accoring to the German "Reinheitsgebot". But we found out that it didn’t taste distinctively different.
The Budweiser bottle is a rather familiar icon to most Americans. The bottle has remained relatively unchanged since its introduction in 1876. We liked it, but the fraze “King of all Beers” is a bid of an overstatement!
- Beer Tasting
Favorite thing: With so many art galleries, Scottsdale is an art lover's Mecca. Items range from cheap and common in the tourist shops to many thousands of dollars in the galleries selling original art. With so much variety a person can spend the entire day browsing.
Also, the city has an arts festival every year on the same weekend as the Phoenix St. Patrick's Day parade. What better way to spend the day than browsing art, sipping lemonade, and listening to some of the live musical performances?

Sunny skies and (relative) warmth
Favorite thing: Living in Boston and having spent almost all of my life in the Northeast United States, I just LOVED being able to swim in a pool, outdoors, in the warm sun in January!
Fondest memory: Palm Trees, giant Cacti and Mountains! Beautiful!

Favorite thing: Taliesin West is a definite must in Scottsdale. The famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright moved here to built a winter home in 1927 and didn't finish building it in 30 years. The house resides on 600 acres of desert which Wright used to almost camoflage his house in.

Favorite thing: Go to Old Town Scottsdale. Wonderful western art galleries and tourist shops. Great dining and hotels. All within walking distance, but wear comfortable shoes!
Fondest memory: I LOVE the Scottsdale Civic Center Park! Go upstairs to the Backstage Restaurant, walk over and see the swans swimming in their pond. In winter, often have special events and concerts outside.
Sunrise/Sunset for the People
Favorite thing: The scenery during the rising and evening hours is fantastic. I got some, but not the best pictures during the trip. Many come here to see the serenity daily.
