I talked about the Cone Style Volcano like Sunset Crater; this is O'Leary Peak. It is one of the other types of volcano called a dome. Dome type volcanoes are rounded.

The attractive feature of the Flagstaff area is the ubiquitous forests of pine trees. This place abuts a vast arid desert, but Flagstaff is quite temperate.

San Francisco Peaks from top of cinder cone

An easy hike up one of the cinder cones (not the Sunset Crater itself) yields this beautiful view of the San Francisco Peaks which lie in between the National Monument and Flagstaff.
