Toiletries and Medical Supplies: just the bare necessities for overnight
mole skin in case of blisters

Photo Equipment: I carried all of my film for the entire holiday with me because I didn't want to leave any to overheat in the parked car.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: swimsuit for a dip under the falls
warm clothes for evening and early morning
flashlight if you plan to start hiking predawn

Miscellaneous: deck of cards or a book because there is no TV at the lodge and no other entertainment in the village.

Luggage and bags: Get fitted for a pack if you haven't already. Comfort is key to your enjoyment. When you pack your gear place heavier items on the bottom.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: DO NOT WEAR NEW HIKING BOOTS! You will need sturdy shoes for the hike, especially boots with solid ankle support. Bring a poncho or plastic garbage bags in case of an unexpected couldburst. Make sure to bring a hat to shield you from the intensity of the sun.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: If you plan to bathe or wash dishes in the river you are advised to only use biodegradable soap. I always bring along Second Skin to help with blisters. Do not forget to bring sunscreen.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: If you want shelter you must bring it with you! One of the funniest things I've ever seen was one of my girlfriends trying to build a pup-tent for herself!

Miscellaneous: Bring your enough fresh water for the hike in. There are no fresh water wells along the way.
