CITY OF TACNA :-)))

Hmm... a little strange, just a few broad streets with almost no houses along, OK - a few, not so easy to find ground floor houses (no skyscrapers :-), a gas station and two restaurants and NOTHING MORE!

So, NO must see activities there. But it was quite interesting for me to see what is hot, forbidden, lazy south Arizonian town. Add landscapes around: desert (no sand, rather rocks with dry bushes and dry grass) and mountains creating the skyline.

First it's a name of a border city and departament in... southern Peru close to Chile. Have you ever been there? I would like, look: click here or here
Btw what does it mean "tacna" in Spanish? Nothing?

But there is another Tacna in southern Arizona. I just checked in the net that Tacna is what a surprise... a city. Hmm... I was not sure whether it is even a village :-).
But... OK, it's a city, or better to say town located on or better to say along I-8 (the freeway: San Diego, California - Yuma, Arizona - intersection with I-10 from Phoenix to Tucson = the end of I-8).

So, it's located 46 miles (74 km) east of Yuma or 147 miles (237 km) southwest of Phoenix or 193 miles (311 km) west of Tucson.

Wear good glasses and enlarge my picture please to see where is Arizonian Tacna.
