Luggage and bags: We took a lot of clothes we never used' One requires mostly sport clothes, casual and light as it gets hot but very dry. Something warm for evening wear as the nights get cool.
By air good solid suitcases. Watch the weight.Do not put valuables in suitcases or cameras.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Good running shoes for walking and site seeing.-----SUN HAT AND GLASSES AND SUN SCREEN A MUST.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: No problem easily available. Bring your Prescription drugs for sure as it's hard to get a doctor to renew and expensive.
Photo Equipment: No Problem
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Swim suit for sure. Remember this is Desert country and days are very hot and nights coool.
Miscellaneous: Back pack and thermos for water would be handy. Picture of myself and Simonne at Sabina Canyon.-------------------------------------------------------------Please visit travelogues.
Luggage and bags: Take along a Mountain bike if that's what you like to do. There are plenty of great places to ride. Bring light colored loose clothing for the summer, and always pack more water than you think you'll need.
Pictured is the Tucson 'A'
This park is named 'A' Mountain because of an 'A' whitewashed on the eastern mountain slope by University of Arizona students. Riding to the top of the mountain gives a breath-taking view of the city. For many people 'A' Mountain is recognized as the home of the annual fireworks display.
The 'A' on the mountain has now been painted red, white and blue, because of the 9-11-2001 tragedy.
Luggage and bags: Pack an empty bag so you can fill it up with what you buy there!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Take a jacket, the evenings were cool when I was there, in February.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen in the summer is a MUST!!!
Photo Equipment: Take a lot of photographs! There is plenty to see!
Miscellaneous: Drink a lot of water!
Water! Water! Water!
Luggage and bags: Depends on what your purpose is for! I took one carry on and one hull luggage. This proved exactly what was necessary for 4 days with all that I took home!
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Everything is pretty casual here, but since obviously weather was unusual while I was there, I would suggest packing a coat for your mountain trips - (Mt. Lemmon was 5,000 ft altitude where I stopped before it got too cold!) - a poncho and a umbrella just in case! Watch your weather channel!
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Bring an alarm clock - I stayed at Motel 8, and they had the fewest appliances I have EVER seen in a Motel/hotel. Definitely bring shower slippers! Also: Don't forget to pack tweezers...I still have a part of a cactus thorn in my leg, because I wasn't better prepared!
Photo Equipment: As much as possible...again the mountain paths are absolutely beautiful, and the sunlight is great! I ran through a roll and half just in two hours at Sabino Canyon.
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: There are lots of areas to stop and go camping! Definitely check the area...there are tons of cacti around and the infamous jumping cactus.
Miscellaneous: I packed slip on shoes, hiking shoes and my interview shoes...and needed all three. Before boarding a plane, wear slip on shoes...they are stringently checking shoes before boarding! Sandals might be a good idea while on a road, but not while hiking around the country. (Read medical supplies)
Bring plenty of water, but never fear, they are always in stock at the gas stations. Water is a hot commodity in Arizona...anywhere in southern Arizona, but you just don't want to drink it from the tap. The water is also very hard out here, so make necessary preperations for bathing products with this knowledge. Bring Lotion!!!! Your skin will dry out very quickly here!Related to:

Not just desert weather
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Rain gear during monsoon season (July/Aug) is important! Winter nights are cool, temps can and do drop below freezing. And if you're heading up to Kitt Peak for star gazing, bring all your cold weather gear; you'll need to bundle up.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Sunscreen is crucial; AZ leads the nation in skin cancer cases.
