The Tucson Botanical Gradens has a nice selection of plants and is very well presented. It is located pretty much in the center of town. The gardens are open daily 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM except national holidays. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for children 4-12. Here are some of the flowers they had on display.

Located in the center of town, these 5 acre gardens are marvelous. Here you can see various kinds of desert plants including cacti and flowering shrubbery. Birds and Butterflies are in abundance amongst the foliage and there is plenty of shade. A visit here of an hour or 2 is definitely worth the time if your into horticulture, nature or just looking for a pleasant place to visit.

Coming from a sub-tropical region, one of things I was excited about was the prospect of getting to see some desert vegetation. The Botanical Gardens was a great place to do just that. They have five acres of land, and many exhibits. I saw all of the local plants I'd ever heard of, and so many other types that I never had.

The entire gardens are handicapped accessable and there are benches throughout the park so you can sit and relax or rest as necessary.

I had to put this in here for all the "Silence of the Lambs" fans. If you don't get the reference, let me know.

The gardens had several ramadas set up showing different plants and types of gardens. I especially liked the Desert Ramada and the Zen Ramada.
