There are some warning signs along the trail at Tuzigoot. Please stay of the walls because they are fragile and we want to preserve them for future generations to enjoy. Stay on the trails because rattlesnakes and other dangerous animals inhabit the area.

As well with most parents we have to keep an eye on our children. My kids are no different. I had to repeatly remind the older not to wonder off and explore on his own and although the walls are made of stone, they are not indestructible. Plus, snakes love to curl up around the stones in the shade during the hot summer months. So it is a very good idea to stay on the path provided for everyone's saftey. Also, the pueblo is very old and that we must respect our surrounds. At least the signs they have posted will hopefully keep reforcing this.
