You might want to try Sam's Famous Wings (their mouth-watering chicken wings are seasoned to your taste...Mild, Hot, Nuclear, BBQ or Teriyaki) with a generous portion of Sam's Fries (delicious hand-cut fries served golden brown and sprinkled with their famous special seasonings).

Brownie's is a small, diner-like place near central Yuma that is a favorite with the locals, especially for a weekend breakfast.
It's cheap too, and you can usually get out of there for under $5/person for breakfast.
The food is about level with IHOP (which has a location near the interstate), but Brownie's is just more friendly and more "real" than any chain place. This is where you'll get a true sense of Yuma: hordes of quiet, gray-haired retirees and large Mexican families seated in the crowded tables, booths and up against the counter. You can read the paper and maybe even strike up a conversation about the weather, water rights, or immigration (although politics is something that should stepped into lightly, especially since this is such a conservative part of the state).
I normally get one of the breakfast specials (eggs, sausage, toast, etc) which is about IHOP level, but they have these strawberry pancacke sticks that are pretty delicious.
