Visit Little Rock's Central High School at 1500 S. Park St. Recently voted by Congress to the National Registry, this beautiful and historic landmark was the site of the 1957 intergration conflict wherein then Gov. Orval Faubas called out the national guard to oversee the entrance of black students to a then all white high school. Central High, where I was once a student, I am now a teacher.
Central High School Museum, located just across the street, chronicles the history of the school.
