    Ozark Specialties

What to buy: There are lots of craftspeople out in the Ozark backwoods. Woodworking, musical instruments (i.e. dulcimurs, banjos, etc), pottery, "antique" shops, and certain fruit products are great buys. Mountain View has an interesting folk center and various craft & music stores for folksy arts. Hardy is a cute little town with various "antique" shops. Eureka Springs has gobs of boutiques of all sorts. Cave City watermelons are fantastic, and various berry jams (especially blueberries) are yummy from this area.
