There are a few nice trails to hike at Queen Wilhelmina Park and they are definitely in a very beautiful setting. Unfortunately, I was not able to take advantage of them because they were closed due to an angry black bear.
Equipment: Good walking shoes, sunscreen, a hat, lots of water.

There are a total of 26 miles of hiking trails in the park. One of the trails leads from Bathhouse Row up the mountain to the viewpoint. The trail is pretty steep and footing is challenging at some points. Be advised!
Equipment: Good walking shoes, sunscreen (although the trail is pretty wooded), a hat, plenty of water.

There are trails through the American Townsite (which also leads along the river); the civil war battle sites; and a nature trail. The first two are paved and are wheelchair accessible. The nature trail is not paved.
Equipment: You can buy water and soda in a machine onsite.

Fishing on the Arkansas River near the Arkansas Post National Memorial is popular too. You can also fish from the banks of the river inside the park. Please note that anyone 16 or older needs an Arkansas Fishing License.

We went riding just outside of Eureka Springs, and the trail was nice, the guide was nice, but entirely too concerned about our riding abilities!! We only got to walk the horses the entire time, but , still a nice ride.

Because of the limestone in this area, there are many caves to explore - some are set up for tourists while others are only for serious spelunkers. Blanchard Springs Caverns (near Mountain View, AR) has several guided tours I can recommend for tourists - one of their tours is even wheelchair accessible. Other caves in the area I've heard of that are set up for tourists include Cosmic Cavern near Branson (ph# 870-749-2298), and Mystic Caverns (www.mysticcaverns.com).
Equipment: For the casual tourist, you might bring a light jacket due to the cool temperatures in the caves - a welcome respite from the hot summer weather!

Okay, so there will be some golf purists on VT who will say mini-golf does not qualify but here it is anyway.

The Arkansas River near the Arkansas Post National Memorial is very popular for boating. There is a boat launch area near the park.
