Note the strong Middle Eastern influence

There is a very noticable middle eastern influence in this city with a Spanish-German name. Anaheim is close to Detroit as far as being the central U.S. city for Middle Eastern culture. Various Arabic nationalities, Persians, and others of the Middle East region make up the city's population. Mosques mark common places of worship along with churches, cathedrals and temples. Anaheim, though dominantly with stores signs in English and Spanish, has several establishments in Arabic and Persian. Perhaps the most seen store are the butcher shops with "Halal Meat". With all this considered, Anaheim is easily the most ethnically intriguing city of Orange county.

Se Habla Espanol

For a Spanish speaker, Anaheim would almost feel like home. One can manage speaking it throughout the city. The host city of Disneyland is home to many Spanish speakers. Out of the 300, 000 + residents, about 50%-60% are of hispanic origins and a good number are bilingual (Span/Eng). Generally, throughout southern California, there are guides and other sources of information available in English and en espanol. Many restaurants, stores and places of service are Spanish-speaking friendly. In big greater L.A. cities like Anaheim, Spanish is even equal or just about so to English.

During the summer time you can expect warm to hot days with cool evenings. I would suggest light clothing during the day, but don't forget the sweatshirt because the evenings and early mornings at Disneyland tend to get a little cool. Winter can get pretty cool (in the 50's to 70's) with more rain during this time.

Nestled between Anaheim and the OC beach cities in Westminster, Little Saigon is a Vietnamese community. Its a great place to get a meal.
