    Central Plaza

by machomikemd Written Jul 24, 2012

The Central Plaza is located near the middle of every disneyland park around the world and the Central plaza is part of the Main Street USA Themed park. The end of the Mainstreet USA is at the front of Cinderrala's Castle and the Central Plaza lies in front of it and the plaza serves as a central node where you can have access to the other themed areas of Disneyland like in Tomorrowland, New Orleans Square, Mickey's Toon Town, etc. the Central Plaza also houses the bronze statues of both Walk Disney and Mickey Mouse, the Icons of Disneyland who made the dream possible. You can take pictures and videos with him and mickey at the central plaza.

    Main Street USA (2)

by machomikemd Written Jul 24, 2012

Part two of my Main Street USA tips with more pictures around

Every Entrance to a Disneyland around the World starts at the Main street USA themed area and the Main Street USA was envisioned by Walt Disney himself as a representative of the typical 1900's era of a town center in America's heartland, the Midwest. patterned after his hometown of Marceline in Missouri. This Main Street is the first Main Street USA of the Disneyland Parks. Main Street, U.S.A. is reminiscent of the Victorian period of America with the train station, town square, movie theater, city hall, firehouse complete with a steam-powered pump engine, emporium, shops, arcades, double-decker bus, horse-drawn streetcar, jitneys and other bits of memorabilia. Main Street is also home to the Disney Art Gallery and the Opera House which showcases Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.

You can ride at the Train Station here to go around the park or buy assorted food stuffs, trinkets and souvenirs.

    Sleeping Beauty Castle

by machomikemd Written Jul 23, 2012

Sleeping Beauty Castle maybe the Main Icon of Disneyland but it is not just a faux castle standing in the center of every disneyland park but is also an attraction in itself as there are actually rooms and stairs going up and down the cinderalla's castle where there are many things on display and is called the walkthrough where assorted sleeping beauty items are on display.

    according to wikipedia:

The walkthrough reopened on November 27, 2008 at 5:00 PM, drawing long lines going as far back as the Hub. Unlike previous incarnations, visitors who are unable to climb stairs or navigate the passageways of the Castle can still experience the walkthrough "virtually" in a special room on the Castle's ground floor. This room is lavishly themed, and presents the closed-captioned CGI walkthrough recreation on a high-definition TV. This same virtual recreation is included on the Sleeping Beauty 50th Anniversary Platinum Edition DVD.

    King Arthur Carousel

by machomikemd Written Jul 21, 2012

the king arthur carousel is really popular with the kids and their parents and it is just located after the entrance to cinderella's Castle and facing the excalibur sword embedded in front of the carousel. The attraction is located in the fantasy land part of disney resort. King Arthur Carrousel is an authentic antique carrousel featuring 68 prancing white horses. The ride recreates the great charge of the legendary Knights of the Round Table and their brave leader, King Arthur of Camelot. You can take photos of the excalubur sword too and while riding the carousel.

Beach Party in Disney. Disney has many motifs in Main Street besides parades, fireworks and beach parties are one of those and also spring break parties plus haloween parties, thanksgiving parties and more. they have many excuses to have a party since this is the land of fun.

you can see assorted kinds of music and party style ambiance and music at the assorted areas of Disneyland and enjoy, you can take unlimited number of pictures and videos in this age of the digital camera and video and readily post them at various social networking sites such as Facebook or Google plus.

    Haunted Mansion (2)

by machomikemd Written Jul 20, 2012

part two of my haunter mansion tips with more pictures around and inside.

The Haunted Mansion is one of the Top 5 main attractions in disneyland and to be able to avoid the 1 1/2 hour line, you must get a fast pass at the fast pass booth and go back at the appointed time so that you don't need to get in line that long! go to the other attractions that are not crowded in the mean time.

The Haunter Mansion is Scary for kids. This place claims to have 999 animated ghost inside. It was Eddie Murphy who Made this Attraction popular like what Johnny depp did to Pirates of the Carribean. You will also ride a monorail type contraption and be able to see the assorted ghosts and the ride will last for 4 minutes.

    Splash Mountain (1)

by machomikemd Updated Jul 20, 2012

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Part one of my splash mountain Ride with more picture around the ride.

this popular ride in Critter Country was started in 1989 and it features a 60 foot near vertical drop that will get you soaking wet. the ride starts aboard seven-seater logs and you go through a maze of soaking trails and story about "song of the south" and through dark areas with animation. the end of the ride is the 60 foot drop wherein you scream your lungs out and get soaking wet! but a caveat, the waiting time here is more than 1 hour so it is best to get a fast pass in advance at the fast pass ticket counter for it then go back at the appointed time at the fast pass to get ahead of the line and go to the other rides which has short waiting times to maximize your day.

see my videos of my brother being soaked wet since he forgot to bring a waterproof wind breaker hehehe.

Main Entrance Old Picture and New Pictures

by machomikemd Updated Jul 19, 2012

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

A little bit of Nostalgia! this was my first Anaheim Disneyland experience and was in 1989. Like first timers in Disney, I had taken too long to see Main Street USA only to find out that I don't have enough time for the other rides and in my visit in 2005, i've never made this mistake again. Main Street is lined with shops selling merchandise and food. The decor is early-20th century small-town America, inspired by Walt Disney's childhood and the film Lady and the Tramp. City Hall contains the Guest Relations lobby where cast members provide information and assistance.

Do Disneyland Resort in Spring/Fall if you can!

by marinarena Updated Jul 7, 2012

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

If Disneyland is a must for you and you want to go when there is less of a crowd, try to come during off-season and off-holidays, including Christmas (though indeed Christmas decoration and celebration is impressive to see. Of course, if you can avoid the weekends anytime, your Disney experience will be more pleasurable, as the wait times for admission, rides, entertainment and food will be shortened. A good period is November, just after Halloween and before Thanksgiving weekend (From approx. Nov 24-26). Also, try late January- April.

Disneyland Resort Anaheim, consisting of the original Disneyland and the exclusive Disney's California Adventure theme park, is doable for one day. There is an advantage to complete your visit in 2 days if "Park-Hopper" discount tickets (just keep in mind of 2 day of paying for parking if you have a car. That's up to $15 a day). READ my Tourist Trap tips for more Disney advice on parking and more!!!

Disneyland Resort is off the Interstate 5 (freeway). Use OCTA bus routes 43, 83 and 50, various Anaheim transportation tourist buses or MTA (L.A.) route 460.
