Pay Heed to Harbor Blvd Traffic!

by marinarena Updated Sep 28, 2006 1033 reviews

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

    Anaheim , California

The road to D-Land is lengthy and congested especially during peak times, in the morning from 7-8Am and throughout the evening after 4:30 PM or so. In Anaheim, try to avoid it because it carries both local and tourist traffic. A good alternative road running parallel (north-south) to Harbor is Euclid St. Here is a more peaceful time along Harbor Blvd by D-Land hotels.

    Limo Service or Limo Rental?

by lmkluque Updated Feb 4, 2013 1506 reviews

    2 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Hiring a limousine to get around seems an expensive option for most of us, but there are many limos on the roads in and around this area so I suggest it as an option for those who'd like a treat.

A direct airport to Disney Resort transfer is simple enough, They'll even take you to another hotel if you're not staying at Disney, but watch out for all those extra little chages. They can add up quickly!

Too rich for my pocket book, so I'll stick with using public transportation or better still, my own car.

    River Rafting Isn't it

by lmkluque Updated Feb 4, 2013 1506 reviews

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

As in most cities in California, a car is the best way to get to Anaheim and the best way to get around. If the only reason for visiting Anaheim is to go to Disneylang and California Adventure, then I'd say a car is not necessary. However, if you want to go around and see other things while in this area, I do reccommend having the use of a car.

The freeway system has just been upgraded--I believe this project is completed--so the traffic should be more managable.

After emerging from your airplane at Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Ontario, or Long Beach Airport, ask virtually any airline/airport/shuttle/rental car employee how to get to Disneyland. Many will have pre-printed information and maps. If you are driving from another state or part of California, check out www.MapQuest.com.
Unfortunately, an effective rapid transit system (including its busses and commuter trains) in Southern California does not exist. You've heard it before, and I'll repeat it: Rent a car. It will be the best way for you to explore Southern California.

Disneyland is roughly 27 miles away from hollywood area of Los Angeles and the drive will take about 1 hour in traffic conditions at US 101 south and I-5 or less if you take the other freeways using your gps devices (thank you garmin!). along the I-5 south, you will see signs going to disneyland and take the flyover going to the resort and then park at the many parking areas around the resort.

Address: 1313 S Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92802

    Traveling South on I-5

Take I-5 south. Exit Disneyland Drive and turn left (South). Then for...

Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park:

Proceed across Ball Road. Use the left three lanes to access the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure.

    Downtown Disney District:

Continue on Disneyland Drive, staying in the far two right lanes. Follow the signs to the most convenient parking area.

    Disneyland Hotel:

Continue on Disneyland Drive, staying in the far two right lanes. Turn right (West) on Magic Way and follow the sign to the hotel entrance on the left.

Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa:

Continue on Disneyland Drive, staying in the far two right lanes past the Disneyland® Hotel. The hotel entrance is located on the left at the second traffic signal.

    Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel:

Continue on Disneyland Drive, staying in the far two right lanes past the Disneyland® Hotel. The hotel entrance is located on the right at the second traffic signal.

Enjoy Lower Gas Prices in Anaheim

by marinarena Updated Oct 5, 2012 1033 reviews

Parts of Anaheim are hot spots for filling up at the gas pump, not only for Orange County but for the greater Los Angeles area.

Gas stations along major streets like Lincoln Ave, State College Blvd and La Palma Ave have consistent rates below county average for regular unleaded and preminum fuel.

Check website included and many sites and apps for updated rate info.
