This cool little bridge spans 171 feet in length, 40 feet above the creek. Take a walk across, it connects to the heart of the village. Great photo op!

Arroyo Grande Restaurants

  • by SLO_Jim Written Oct 4, 2002

In the area, there are really three superb restaurants absolutely worth the wait to get a seat:
    1. Giuseppe's (Pismo Beach) *****
    2. F McLintock's (Shell Beach) *****
    3. A.J. Spurs (Arroyo Grande) ****
These restaurants were/are my personal favorites, and they each have their own unique character. The food ranks among the finest in the entire state (perhaps in the entire universe). Each of these restaurants is individually owned and the service is absolutely superb.

Favorite Dish: Depending on whether or not you prefer authentic Italian or a truly juicy steak...(numbered by restaurant) you shouldn't be afraid to try:
    1. Osso Buco...Rabbit...or any of the stone oven pizza's or homemade ravioli's
    2. Ribsteak or Ribeye
    3. Ribeye

During the summer and early fall months on Sundays, Arroyo Grande has the concert series on the Rotary Bandstand on the Village Green. This is a beautiful setting where you can take a picnic basket and blanket and maybe some wine and cheese and enjoy those lazy summer days fillilng your soul with jazz.
