Fondest memory: My fondest memory was watching the city change and grow - sometimes even for the better - over 36 years.
Beverly Hills enjoys nearly perfect weather; almost year-round sunshine; an average of 15 inches of rainfall recorded annually, none of it between May and October; and an average high daily temperature of 75 F (24 C).
Winter (January-March) - 45-65 F (7-18 C)
Spring (April-June) - 53-77 F (11-25 C)
Summer (June-September) - 61-83 F (16-28 C)
Fall (October-December) - 60-77 F (15-25 C)
Walking on the beautiful, scenic grounds in the park
Fondest memory: Affaire in the Gardens, Fall 2006
Some companions and I went to the fall Affaire in the Gardens event, at Beverly Gardens Park , which is off Santa Monica Blvd. It was a clear, gorgeous day of viewing various artistic creations and strolling. At the Affaire, one can purchase art (including painting, scuplture and jewelry among other artwork) from local artists who attend the event. There is also food and wine tasting, live music and some arts and crafts.
**2012- Now, this event is called Beverly Hills Art Show (boring change of name, honestly)
I'd heard that taking a walk down Rodeo Drive immediately conjures up images of Rome's Via Condotti, Paris' Fauborg Saint Honore, London's New Bond Street and even New York's Madison Avenue. I believe it!!!! The street has an international flair, but comparisons stop there. Whether it's the sunshine or the notion that at any moment you might just brush shoulders with a famous celebrity, Rodeo Drive is renowned as the most American of streets with a uniquely Southern California attitude. It really is like a giant butterscotch sundae!!!! Some people have called it the ultimate cure for boredom, and I totally agree!!!!
Fondest memory: Probably one of my favorite cities in the Los Angeles area.
Favorite thing: of course, you have to see Rodeo Drive and its fashion boutiques;but most of the city is a collection of wonderful villas with handsome gardens;you will see hundreds of warnings:'beware!this house is protected from robbers!armed response in case of tresspassing!';picture is:wilshire blvrd
Gawk at beautiful buildings!
What a sight she is! Beverly Hills City Hall, created by William Gage, trumps the city hall of Los Angeles and arguably of any other city in California- and perhaps the country. The hall, heavily with a Spanish Renaissance touch externally and from within, serves not only residents' needs and concerns for the city but to awe visitors with its beauty. First graced in 1932, the city hall is one of greater Los Angeles' art deco destinations. You can peak into the hall and some office area Mon-Sat but come on a Sunday when there is no city personnel traffic to take some great external shots of this main Beverly point of interest.
