Go to the Nike Missle Base, off of dirt Mulholland Dr. You'll be rewarded with a breath-taking 360º view of the city below.
I love Italian food.
I love class and elegance in a cozy, understated environment.
I love great, friendly service and a nice wine list.
Pecorino is all of these things and more. Brentwood is home to some of the finest Italian Restaurants in LA (Toscana, Poppone's, Amici) and Pecorino is perfectly situated.
The space is gorgeous and woodsey, with open space, dark colors, and a beautiful bar.
Favorite Dish: ~The avacado salad is perfect.
~Goat cheese salad unlike anything I've had before...amazing!
~Had the Monk Fish on the Specials Menu...situated on a bed of greens and melts in your mouth!
There's two places to eat at The Getty Center. One is like a cafe but the second one is fasnhioned after a true upscale restaurant. I've been to both and the food is okay at the cafe but the restaurant's menu changes and has a nice atmosphere. During the busy periods, you'll need to make a reservation at this restaurant.
Take the 405 freeway and exit at Getty Center Drive. head wet and follow the signs to the parking structure.
This is a picture of the tram station at the top of Getty Center.
Once you're at the Getty parking lot. There's a tram and bus service that takes you to the topof the hill where the actual museum is located. This is a free service.
Photo Equipment: If you viist The Getty Center or the Nike Missle Basse, I'd suggest bringing a camera with a wide-angle lens as well as a pair of binoculars. The views are spetacular.
During the Cold War, Brentwood play an important role as the home of one of the Nike Missle bases that protected the Los Angeles basin from a Red Attack!.
Los Angeles as well as San Fernando was and is the home to many Aerospace and Defense contractors. these companies would have been prime targets.
