    Cheap Motels!

Favorite thing: For someone visiting Buena Park because of Knott's Berry Farm and/or other attractions here, you'll be happy to know that accomodations are very affordable. Along Beach Blvd, there are decent places to stay for as low $30/ night. These prices reflect motels which are for the most part good enough for the frugal traveller who wants the basics and not a lot of frills. For those who prefer good quality, most hotels still just range from the late $40s to just less than $100.

    Some BP hotels/motels close to downtown/ Knott's:
(Prices based from standard room w/ minimal taxes added)

    "The Cheapies":

Crescent Motel: $40 (This is right across from the southern border of Knott's Soak Adventure Park and fairly decent looking on the outside at least)
    Days Inn: $60
    Anaheim National Inn: $50
    America's Best Value Inn: $50

    Mid-Range Magnificent:

Courtyard by Mariott: $100 (most attractive place to stay overall, right by Medieval Times)
    Holiday Inn: $100
Knott's Berry farm Hotel: $80 (official Knott's hotel)
    EconoLodge: $70
    Howard Johnsons: $70
Colony Inn and Suites $90 (just steps away from park)

    Buena Park, California

Favorite thing: Buena Park is located in Orange County. The only reason I ever went to Buena Park was to go to Knott's Berry Farm. It wasn't too far down the road from Disneyland. My European students didn't want to go there because they had enough farms in their own country. It was interesting trying to make them understand that it was an amusement park and had almost nothing to do with farms or farming, unless they considered Panning for gold as a form of farming.

Well, since those days. Buena Park has added a few things that are fun. such as Knott's Soak City, Pirate's Dinner Adventure Show, and a Medieval Times dinner show. This area they call the E-Zone has the Japanese Village and Deer Park and a Ripley's Believe It or Not museum.
