Some of the rides are not roller coaster speed. This ride is of a train through a mining camp. In side the mountain you can learn about how prospectors dug for gold. Outside the mountain as the train goes around you can get a view of the park. It is a nice ride but not for thrill seekers.
Within the park you will find a fully functioning blacksmith shop that dates back to the 1800s. Here you can watch the blacksmith work with iron making things like horseshoes and branding irons. The blacksmith will tell you all about the history of blacksmiths and the important role they played in the old west.
You can have a personalized horseshoe made with you name on it if you would like.
Across the street from Knott's Berry Farm is the Independence Hall where you can travel back in time and see the whole reenactment of the signing of the Decoration of Independence.
The building is an exact replica of the real independence Hall which is located in Pennsylvania.

At Knott's you can learn all about history in interesting ways. This place is quite educational. Edutainment is what they called it. It is a great idea.
