Neiman's Restaurant, Carlsbad

Neiman's is housed in one of Carlsbad's oldest and most striking buildings, which began as two mansions, mirrored in image. There is a narrow area for patio dining and naturally that is where I eat.

If you go to the website listed below you will see a button titled, "Coupon," click it and print out the $5.00 coupon before dining at Neiman's. I did and the coupon covered the price of a drink.

Favorite Dish: The last time I ate there, I ordered the # 3 lunch special for $9.95. Pork roast served with garlic mashed potatoes and a melody of steamed vegetables. Also, with the $5.00 coupon, I had a free Bloody Mary!

Elegant (and expensive) restaurant located in old victorian mansion. They serve lunches and dinners (meat, seafood, pasta).

Favorite Dish: I didn't eat there but I'd like to try:

1. SALAD: Chinese Chicken Salad $8.95
Mixed greens tossed with Chinese vegetables, grilled sliced chicken and crispy noodles in a tangy oriental soy dressing.

2. MAIN COURSE: Prime Rib of Beef
(served Friday and Saturday only) $22.95
All you can eat of our world-famous prime rib, slow-roasted with special herbs and seasonind, accompanied by creamed horseradish and our country-style garlic mashed potatoes.

3. WINE: Cabernet Sauvignon;
Kendall Jackson "Vinter's Reserve" $10.00 (a glass, not a bottle hehe).

Hmm... over $50 with a tax and a tip. Another time... maybe :-)).
