At the foot of Ocean, take a left and park somewhere along the waterfront drive. Then, take off your shoes and enjoy the comfort of the glass free fine grain white sand. Put a toe into the water if you like, but avoid climbing into the water beyond that. Please don't trash the beach...
Better beaches are generally found along the Santa Cruz side of the Monterrey Bay. Along this coast, the water is surprisingly warmer, the beaches more gradual in descent into the water, and the waves much more regular and easy to predict. Another beautiful view of the coast. This is certainly a tourist trap.... when you are here, you don't want to go. It is breathtaking beautiful this part of the coast. The rest of your travelplans are all mixed up, after you have been here. Because you probably want to stay here much longer than you planned for.
