Favorite thing: Well ~ not exactly right IN Chico, but certainly nearby.
And, sometimes, right in our own backyards!
Besides the bobcat pictured here, we've seen the following in the neighborhood: deer, mountain lion, bear, coyote, wild turkey, sandhill cranes (they fly over my house when they head north after the winter), quail, and about 30 species of birds that come to my feeders.

Favorite thing: Let's face it, Chico is a college town. Weekends start on Thursday and end Monday. Everyone I know who has visited Chico can say they have parts to the weekend they can't even remember.
Great bars, fun people and more drinks than you can handle.
I love visiting friends here when we were in college. It was truly insane.
Fondest memory: The Bear. Great place to have a beer.

Favorite thing: Although the summer temp reaches over 100 degrees, late summer Early Fall season is spectacular with its colours changing. Where ever you travel, hike, bike ride, or stand, the amazing change becomes a moving kaleidoscopic visual performance.
Fondest memory: Being a part of its beauty is enough.

Favorite thing: The farmers market in the cool spring early summer evening is especially nice because you get to see the true flavor of Chico and its spirit.
Fondest memory: Walking through Upperbidwell park for a 4mile moonlite walk with the sierra club was exciting. Traveling along side the mountain, at times the moonlight so strong I didn't need the flash light.
