Bird in Hand - a specialty gift store that first opened in 1981 - is the place to look for something special. It's locally owned and carries quality items that are stylish and unique. You'll find cookbooks, kitchen & dining items, wine accessories, gift cards and stationary, candles and candle holders and oil lamps, Tommy Bahama sportswear, holiday decorations, educational stuff (toys, games, and gifts), baby things, kites . . . the list goes on!
Plus they house the Yo-Yo Museum and have a HUGE stock of yo-yos for sale.
What to buy: This is my favorite place to go when I'm looking for a gift for the grandchildren or nieces and nephews! I find things like dinosaur digs, and Jacob's Ladders, and Magnet Levitation kits - fun stuff that's both educational and completely different from anything they're likely to get from anyone else.
What to pay: Around $20
