One way of getting to Chula Vista is by sail boat, or speed boat. The J Street Marina has a great little marina to park your sail boat and a boat ramp for loading and unloading your speed boat. If you don't own any kind of boat, rent one and sail around the San Diego Bay it's a spectacular way to see the surrounding cities.
However, if you do own your own boat and come to Chula Vista, contact the friendly group at J Street Marina for docking information.

Be carefull when you drive around supermarket parking lots.
When i was in Wal-Mart on Friday's afternoon there were a lot of cars and pedastrians there.
Watch for pedastrians, especially older ladies and younger boys :-).
Enlarge my picture to see how they mark the place just in front of the entrance - no parking any time zone but passing through this marked zone is allowed, am I right?
In some/most European countries such marked/painted road surface means: no drive any time here :-). Hmm... quite different. I always hesitated: drive or not to drive through it?
Just my obvuous suggestion: if you don't know how to drive just observe local drivers and learn.
