I love this place! Owner started cooking healthier versions of regular dishes years ago when a family member became ill and they realized healthy food was hard to come by. This is not a vegtarian restaurant, so meaties will enjoy it too. Great live local music (and some not so local). Busy on weekends so get there early (before 6 on Fri and Sat). Claremont is a college town in the style of back East so the clientele is mainly,relatively behaved but loud, college students and staff on weekends. Great service,medium prices.

21 Choices is an absolute favorite among Claremont locals. The place is spunky and bright, with smiley high school students taking your order. The frozen yogurt is delicious, and you can be as creative as you want to be. You can do a mix-in, which is a yogurt and a candy topping mixed in OR you can do the cold table top, which is a yogurt with the topping chopped in.
I have many favorites, but the best are Super Oreo (vanilla yogurt, oreos, and cookie dough) and my best friend Samantha's creation - vanilla frozen yogurt, fresh strawberries, and graham cracker dust. My experiences here have gone from decent to terrible and I'm never going back. The last one was when my husband and I went the night before Valentine's Day a few years ago because we weren't going to be able to go out on Valentine's night. Oue entire experience was terrible. THe place was nearly empty and we were seated right by the kitchen door. The staff was rude not only to us and other patrons but to each other to the point that they were yelling obscenities at each other! Even though we complained we were not offered an apology, a reason for what was happening there, or any compensation on our meal.

The location is not so pretty and neither is the store front. BUt just wait till you get inside. If you like Persian food then you will definitly want to stop here. I think that it is the only Persian place in the nearby surrounding area. Interesting inside decor and friendly staff.
Ok, so I dont know how to spell it, but it sounds to me like Kokoos. It is really good, especially if you are not a big meat eater, it is a vegetarian dish. For the meat lovers, there are many different kinds of Kabobs to try. Nice little place with good food and coffee. Took over from Ilventos at same location on Baseline / Mills in the Vons shopping center. Good stop off if you are going hiking in the wilderness park or skiing in Baldy. Leave a Comment

Full of Life is a unique bakery in the Claremont Village. The atmosphere is rustic, with wooden benches and beautiful mosaic tables. The food is fresh-baked and flavorful, with homemade breads and fresh cheeses and vegetables from the local farmer's market. The meats are great too! Full of Life also has a great dessert and wine selection.

Classy dining room with outside tables available. Casual upscale. Good service, greta food, but pricey. Original dishes to choose from. busy on weekends. lunches just as good but less pricey.

Small restaurant with wonderful staff and really good food. I have had mexican food, but never what I would call south american food. This is the only Peruvian restaurant I have ever been to. It is really good and has reasonable prices.
Dont know the name, but it is made with potatoes and vegetable and some sort flavoring that is both sweet and a bit spicy at the same time. I think it is also made with eggs. This bakery has been around since 1916, they use only wholesale, all-natural ingredients. The best chocolate, the best cream, and so forth. Scones, breads, danishes, cookies, and other pasteries are freshly baked daily. Beautiful wedding cakes are also available for order.
Whenever I'm in town for a visit (I grew up here), I always must make a stop here at least once! The ownership changed hands, and for awhile I was skeptical of this, but fortunately they seemed to have grown taking over the shop (which was vacant anyhow) next door and providing more seatings (however, they fill fast!)
Workers are mostly hippy-ish college kids, very friendly.
Although I don't drink coffee, I hear the coffee here is pretty well roasted. I get Chai from here.
