Colma Specializes in flowers due to it's quaint setting as a Cemetery Town hence you can buy fresh flowers here that is cheaper even if its not used for bereavement. But most people go here to buy arranged flowers in vases or jars or stands or bouquets again not only for funerals and wakes but for all occasions.
If you want to buy stuff at much less prices but have more name brands (including international brands like burberry, bally, nina ricci, hugo boss and more) then you can go here (besides it's just 200 feet away from Marshalls here in 280 Metro Mall). We have to thank Nordstrom for having an off price clearance store here (since there are only 51 Nordstrom Rack stores all over the Mainland). One drawback is that from downtown San Francisco, you have to take the BART to Colma Station and then ride A Samtrans Bus to go here but the rewards are great, having 20% to 80% off the regular price of the merchandise!
Definitely Better than Marshalls or Ross!
Mon-Thu 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Fri-Sat 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.
Sun 11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m
What to buy: unlike in marshalls, you can choose more choice brands, both local and international here! how about bally shoes for only $ 79.99 or Timberland comfort shoes for only $49.99. for the ladies, Burberry bags at only $299 and the choices are endless!
again since this is an off price clearance store, a caveat: you must have the time and patience to rummage around and thoroughly check the products you are buying before paying at the counter since some of the stuff might have factory defects or damages (that is why its a clearance store right!). If you're a fashionista with a budget, this is the place to be!
What to pay: less about 20% to 80% off the regular price, off course most of the stuff are off season but who cares! as long as its comfortable to wear and branded, it will do!

What to buy: whatever you desire! my favorite is what else but Marshalls and Nordstrom Rack and Home Depot.
What to pay: much less than going to Union Square since branded stuff here are mostly off fashion and overruns so you must have the time and patience to scrounge around the stuffs before buying it.
If you want to buy branded stuff without going to the factory outlets (they are very far in Vacaville or Gilroy or Petaluma) due to the high prices of gas, this is your best bet. Marshalls since the 1970 has established a reputation as one of the largest off-price family apparel and home fashion retailer. They did that due to their bulk buying of retail items from established name brands like Ralph Lauren or Nautica or Tommy Hilfiger and others and these items are post-season, over-run, and close-out stock hence they can get big discounts. This Marshalls is located in 280 Metro Mall. If you want cheaper stuff, you can go to Ross which is in Nearby Serramonte Mall (but Ross has less quality brands).
What to buy: all the name brand items you can think of and items like belts, shirts, caps, jeans, bling bling, rubber shoes and others.
Caveat: like in factory outlets, you should have patience when buying stuffs here since some of the items may have slight damage (who said they were cheap) so you must really be patient and examine each item thoroughly before purchasing it, remember that "you get what you pay for".
What to pay: much less than going to macy's or nordstroms or Neiman Marcus but if youre a fashionista, forget it since most of the items here are obviously off fashion.
