The Sun Deck Bar and Grill, Coronado

On the Sun Deck at the Hotel Del Coronado, umbrella covered tables and chairs are available for resting, having a drink ordered at the bar or to take a meal of hamburgers / hotdogs while enjoying an expansive view of the Pacific Ocean. This is one of the nicest places to spend time in the California sun.

Steps lead down to a pristine beach, protected with great boulders from the ebbing of the Pacific Ocean tides.

Favorite Dish: A Bloody Mary is my favorite.

Fare warning the grill offers little more than hamburgers and hotdog. No fries or salads to go with them.

Update:

It seems that for the summer months there will be a sunset dinner offered here too! This includes new items on the menu such as soup, salad, skewers as well as hamburgers and all that.

I haven't tried the dinner, but know the food will be excellent as well as the sunset view, so if you're near, give it a try.

Enlarge my picture to see how much they are (in April 2003) - isn't it a little bit expensive? Hmm... location, location, location.
As I know you must add 7.5% sales tax to these prices (food is free of sales taxes but only food in stores/supermarkets) - am I wrong?

Not much choice but if you are hungry and you are not going to spend a fortune in restaurants of nearby Hotel Del Coronado...

Favorite Dish: Charbroiled Hamburger $7.50 + tax (chips included).

You can choose Junior Menu - enlarge my picture. Is it only for juniors? Who is that? Could I order this? I am definetely senior :-).
