Covina Things to Do

Frank Bonelli Park has a myriad of things to do. There's an abundance of hiking and bike trails to choose from, or you can make your own! Also, you can take a date on a picnic or have a family day and play on the playground. In the summer there's also a beach where you can swim or sunbathe. The scenery is absolutely breathtaking.Related to:

This is fairly close to our home. About 10 minutes away. And, the food is pretty good. A little bit more on the spicy side for some reason. The Ahi appetizer is quite large and delicious. We have ordered the Wok Sautéed Rice Noodles & Duck which was very good and Kurobuta Pork Shank also very good. There are not too many "gourmet" restaurants in...more
There is a reason why this restaurant has been successful for over 42 years.Clearman's is like taking a trip back in time to a traditional north woods inn with the warmth and charm of a rustic log cabin like those that used to welcome travelers 100 years ago with asnow-covered roof. Filet Mignon Supreme $28.95 My filet could (almost) be cut with a...more
The town of Covina is not too special. To have an upscale restaurant doesn't work well in this town. I wouldn't say Off Citrus is upscale but tries to be. I've ate here often and though the food is always satisfactory, the service is slow and not too professional. I rarely see the same wait staff when I come back to eat here. Anyway, the reason I...more
There is not too many Thai restaurants in Covina or West Covina. So, it is refreshing to know you can get pretty good Thai food at Rosie's. I've dined there only once and usually take food to go and have it in the comfort of my home. It's located in an itsy, bitsy, tiny, little shopping center. Seating for about 15-20 people at best. I love the...more
This is a tiny restaurant with an old Italian cafe influenced decor. Red brick exposed in the walls, al frescos painted on other walls, old furniture with brocade tapestries used as tableclothes on the tables. This is a combination coffee shop and sandwich shop in one. The food was okay. They give you plenty. In fact, the sandwiches are so thick,...more
I'm not a fan of fast food. I probably say this all the time! But....for Chinese, this isn't bad. Something quick and healthy, this will do. I happen to need to go to the grocery market and I was hungry. It was a choice of this, Wendy's, Red Brick Pizza, El Pollo or Subway - I prefer the Chinese food. Mushroom Chicken. The mushrooms are fresh not...more
When I'm in a hurry and want to eat at home, I drive thru Pepe's. Everything is very good - very cheap. The guacamole is thick and the rice is delicious. My favorite item is the Pepe's Wet Burrito, choice of meat - carnitas, carne asada or chicken. It's huge - usually, I could only eat half and stuffed with beans, rice, guacamole, green salsa and...more
I'm not into fast food - too fattening, too greasy, absolutely unhealthy dining. But....every once in a while I crave a Pastrami sandwich. Alpha Omega makes the best! The more well known place for most Angelinos (people from Los Angeles) to have a Pastrami sandwich is a place called The Hat. And in my opinion, it's okay. Alpha Omega piles on almost...more
