Sand Dune, Death Valley National Park
A very nice thing to do, if you are interested in nature, is track hunting. All kinds of animals liver here so find tracks of rats, lizards and foxes. Take a short walk in the sand. Be sure to keep all your valuables in the car, because you won’t find them back once you loose them in the sand.
Favorite thing: Just beyond the Devil's Cornfield lie the sand dunes. Towering at over 100 feet, the dunes are an impressive sight, especially with the backdrop of the mountains. The best time to view the sand dunes is early morning or late afternoon, when the sunlight casts the dunes in an amber glow and envelopes the mountains in a pinkish hue. The best time to hike the sand dunes is, of course, not in the summer.
