It is a traditional style diner with a slight mexican theme to fit in with the hotel. The food is good value and the plates are huge! service is quick and the best bit is it is open 24 hours a day.
Favorite Dish: Sweet potato fries with anything!
This place has a variety of foods from hamburgers & fries, to rice bowls. The food is OK, nothing great but it's one of the few in the area near a lot of office towers. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
There is much more to this restaurant than the food. Outside You can wander around and look at the vintage airplanes while sipping on a cocktail and watch the planes coming in at LAX.
The interior of the restaurant has numerous vintage photos of celebrated pilots and war heros.
If you stay at the Hilton Garden Hotel, the shuttle will take you and pick you up at the Proud Bird.
Favorite Dish: If you like mushrooms do try the Grilled Chicken Penne Arriabiatta served over penne pasta, what a delictible morsel that was.
La Paz is a local favorite. La Paz has been around for 27 years, and is located on main street, in downtown El Segundo.
Once you walk in the door you will see the unique style booths with spanish indoor roofs
The resturant has the look and feel of an old mexican style resturant.
La Paz is a family owned resturant and the orignal owner still cooks in the kitchen. And his kids and grandkids help out with the rest of the resturant with a friendly smile.
The first thing you will notice, beside the fresh chips, is the HOT salsa that you must use a spoon to pour on your chips. The service is fast and friendly, with good portions of food for a great value.
Lunch and Dinner time is usually pretty pack with people. But they will do there best to make a seat for you.
Favorite Dish: My favorite dish is a simple one.
Bean and cheese deluxe burrito, or the junior super.
My friends like the number 5, one chicken, one cheese enchilada. Or the number 3:
two enchiladas and a taco.
Rule one is that you don't touch the plate, because it is HOT!!!
Breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn is very good value for the money. The cost is $6.95 for a continental breakfast which includes a buffet style assortment of pastries, toasts, beagles, fruits and cereals as well as juice and coffee or you can pay $9.95 for the full American style breakfast which will get you bacon, sausage, corn beef hash, pancakes, French toast and eggs any way you want them as well as access to the continental breakfast bar.
The waiters there were great as my coffee cup was never ever empty. This was one of the great hotel breakfasts I have had.
Burgers ETC is so good you can not miss it.
This place is right out of the 60's and should not be missed. If you are on a diet then skip this place. I could eat here every day and never get sick of it.
Favorite Dish: This little hamburger joint located on the main street in downtown has the best hamburgers and fried zucchini I have ever had in my life. They also have the steepest driveway and drive-thru I have ever seen.
Woody’s burgers is located right on Sepulveda blvd and has some of the best burgers and chicken salads around. They also make some great steak sandwiches and turkey clubs. For the rainy days and through out the winter months there is a open pit fire going that you can enjoy your lunch around and warm up a bit.
Favorite Dish: The chicken salad is large and soooo good.
