Edit...surprisingly, this restaurant has changed for the 'worse' since I posted this review...this is no longer on my favorites list.
Used2Be...Outstanding American breakfast -- well-prepared -- fairly sizeable portions -- good service -- dine inside or out -- you get your monies worth here.
Favorite Dish: Ham & eggs or fresh strawberry waffles
Edit...Pino's is no longer in business...another victim of these hard times...too bad.
Classic old-fashoined dinner house owned and operated by a native Florentine -- outstanding and well-prepared menu (they even know how to make good tasting Italian sauces here -- a rarity in American/Italian restaurants) -- good service -- my family loves this place & we eat here as often as possible (the only Italian place thats better is Il Fornaio in Del Mar -- a few miles south) -- only thing missing is Steak Florentine (a pity -- not on their menu).
Favorite Dish: Lobster Ravioli's but they have many other tasty dishes as well.
Again a great surprise to find a place that cooks a great breakfast. Looks like an IHOP but has it's own very distinct character. It's a jewish themed place with good sized portions and a nice choice of sides. The standard sides like hash browns and fries are available but there are also healthier sides like tomatoes. The menu offers a multitude of choices all of them sounding delicious. Serivce very prompt despite busy morning bustle. Also they have the biggest Ding Dong pastry I have ever seen.
Favorite Dish: BBQ Cod Scrambled Eggs:
Lox Scrambled Eggs:
both had with tomato a bagel and cream cheese. Both were very flavorful, original and mmmm mmm good.
In relation to my other tip on this place ... here is the top part of their menu... which is half of the breakfast choices.
