CSU Fullerton Theater and Dance: Impressive Arts at the University
Cal State Fullerton offers a sensational theater and dance department . In the late 90s, I saw a wonderful rendition of the Moliere play, (Les Fourberies de) Scapin but i look forward to catching a new show put on by the talented student actors.
Dress Code: This is California which means that people tend to be carefree and wear casual clothing, especially jeans to even the theater. In general, dress code is not so enforced at classy events but it is nice to see more elegant attire.

Metrocenter Fullerton: Weekend with the Locals at Metrocenter
OK, disregard that the picture is taken during the daytime! I do like the shadow effect on it and I don't want to alter it to suit the night time! Until I go here at night again, this pic will do!
On weekend evenings, this is a nice local spot where families and the young like to gather here especially for getting some fresh air. There is entertainment for the public, in the form of live music here nightly at La Caffepia, a popular coffee/tea joint . Often by a local guy who's quite impressive (I don't know his name unfortunately!)
The Metrocenter is a very typical American strip mall with the usual big retail store (in this case Target, not Wal-Mart) plus other usual suspects. There is no special reason to come here for shopping but if you happen to be in the area , stop by near La Caffepia for the fun atmosphere.
Dress Code: Normal clothes for the night. Don;'t forget to bring a jacket at night!!!

Revolucion: Rustic Restaurant Slash Cool Claustrophobic Club!
Well, Friday night began innocent enough in good ol' Fullerton. Among the booming dining spots that locals and others go to for a Friday filling is Revolucion. This is a typical Mexican-style joint eaterie serving up tacos, burritos, frijoles (y mucho mas). It is not really worthy to make a restaurant tip for it, at least a highly recomendable one (though I would not totally slam it either.)
Small and understated along the restaurant row of Downtown Fullerton, Revolucion has with a rustic interior brighten by green and red lamps. Of course, these colors symbolizes the nation of Mexico... but save further mention of interior design of the place 'cause no one who goes here is interested in this- it's all about the after hour club scene!
After 8 PM, dining tables and chairs are set aside, making room on the floor for a few hundred people to "break it down" ! Mostly, it is a mixed 20s crowd, of various races, nationalities who head its way into the place. There are plenty of sexy people dancing and mingling though I would not say that this is a good singles joint. Of course, one just may get lucky here!
On Friday night, Club Revolucion plays a variety of music. The party is started off with the best of disco 80s pop and R&B, then mixes into modern pop, dance/techno. But the crescendo of the night hits with hip-hop and rap. Look out on the floor when DJ spins LL Cool J, 50 Cent and the like. This is when the floor gets jam-packed and down right crazy. When I was here, a girlfight broke out and a number of girls where rather loose- with their camis! Of course, I , the angel (albeit , Twisted) wasn't one of those loose girls. I was too squeezed in the crowd to break free. It was enough to taken in the scene all around.
So, Revolucion is a nightspot, which is interesting to highlight on this rather innocent and everyday page about the suburb of Fullerton. Let there be no mistaking. There is some decadence here also!
Dress Code: Ladies here love to wear sexy tanks (or camis) even though it is cool at night (well, the club will get rather steamy into the night!)
Guys should try to wear a nice dress shirt at least . Combine it with a good pair of jeans to create a casual chic look.
The dress code did not seem so strict , but attempt to look as if it were!

The Continental Room: Old School Vegas meets OC
The Continental has red booths imported from Vegas to add to its unique charm. It's dark and cozy in the afternoons and early evenings. As the night encroaches, the live band starts and the tiny dance floor will be packed. It is definitely worth the wait at the velvet ropes.
Dress Code: None that I'm aware of, but there is a doorman.
Steamers: See where it gets steamy!
Serving as a spot for jazzy music and a place to grab late night grub, Steamers is a unique spot in downtown Fullerton, and for Orange County at large. This is a kind of place grown folks go- those in the 30-40 crowd usually, but anyone into jazz and a more quiet nighttime venue would enjoy the atmosphere here. Some big names in jazz have played here, including Pancho Sanchez and Diana Krall, both well-known musicians. Also, a regular of the joint is Julie Day, a rather new sensation on the scene.
As for food and beverage, there is a nice variety from which to choose. I had a very decent plate of hummus andcrackers. Panini and salads are popular menu items as well.
Reservations especially on Friday and Saturday recommended for major performing acts. Call or check out website for details. The website has many live performances, so one who hasn't had a chance to attend cab get a preview.
