    Disneyland-Fullerton via Harbor

by marinarena Updated Jun 14, 2013
coloful building off Harbor Blvd, Fullerton (CA)

If you happen to be in Orange county to visit Disneyland in Anaheim, it would be a good idea to visit the theme parks during the day and then later in the evening to head to Fullerton for entertainment via Harbor Blvd. One simple road from fun to fun. Just head north on Harbor Blvd. from Disneyland. The ride, depending on traffic should be about 10 min by car. If by bus, take the frequent OCTA 43 or 543 BRAVO North bus (N. County Courthouse) from Disneyland and exit Chapman Blvd. in downtown Fullerton.

If traveling south from Los Angeles by train, stop here in Fullerton at the charming, historic Santa Fe Train stop. Part of the Fullerton Transportation Center, the stop features the national Amtrak trains as well as the local Metrolink trains.

The look of the Santa Fe Depot is very much "southwest "or Spanish, giving authenticity to the name. For convenience, the Santa Fe Express Cafe will satisfy your stomach with a more than decent grill cafe and a variety of snacks (including a good number of healthy options) Within the cafe, you can relax with newspapers and yes, at times, musical performances (on Fri and Sat).

Within walking distance are some of Fullerton's finest restaurants and shops.

The transportation center. It is located at at 120 East Santa Fe Avenue.

    Note:

Many convenient taxis are parked here for immediate getaway.
Various OCTA buses stop here, including OCTA 43 which goes in the immediate Disneyland area

  • Fullerton can be reached by...

by OCTARider Written Aug 26, 2002

Fullerton can be reached by Amtrak, Metrolink and OCTA bus. Amtrak stops here with its frequent daily 'Pacific Surfliners' from San Diego, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara. Metrolink runs weekday-only (aargh!) commuter trains from Los Angeles, Riverside, and Irvine/San Juan Capistrano. OCTA has a major bus terminal across from the Fullerton train station, with service to/from Disneyland, Anaheim, Buena Park, Placentia, LaHabra, Brea, and Yorba Linda.
Most of the city can be walked, and there are also the above-mentioned OCTA buses...call (800) 636-7433 for schedule information.

    Our Lady of Sharp Objects

Part 3 of the tryptich series of Gothic saints. This one is me. A little harsh because it was the first. These all have gold paint around the forms and in the halos. The photos kind of suck. This one is called 'Our Lady of Sharp Objects' because I love scissors and I'll paint them in eventually.
