Fullerton Things to Do

  • Fullerton's Fun Farmer's Market at...

There are many towns that have farmer's market days throughout So Cal, but this one is probably the most entertaining. Besides food, there is often a concert of local talent, a variety of kids programs and a beer garden which inspires a few individuals to be rather silly and loud, all in good fun though. There is no short of great quality foods-...

Fullerton Restaurants

  • Try Kabob American style at Cali Fire

Near Fullerton College, along Chapman Ave, is Cali Fire, an upstart eaterie that focuses on fresh ingredients and an eco-friendly approach. Opened in 2011, the casual California with a flair of Greece, India and the Middle-East joint is, as of now, an only-in-Fullerton experience but the dining concept here may just expand catching "Fire" in towns...

Expect up to par servic and a beautiful rustic dining room for visual candy. Judging by the tapas menu alone, Hidalgo is...

  • Get some Mex-Amer grub bf train

Don Carlos is a favorite Mex-American joint in Fullerton. I've been here during breaks from college or waiting for the train. The looks of the place, inside or out is nothing to write about but this is no place seeking to fancy with eyes peeled. Rather, it's all about the grub. I recommend this place simply as a quick bite from morning to night,...

  • Dance, Have a Ball

If you want to dance and don't go for modern techno or hip hop, come to the Imperial Ballroom to dance your best Viennese waltz, swing, cha cha, jazz, foxtrot, rumba or tango. Within the historic Imperial Ballroom in downtown, check in at The Dancesport Center for lessons. There is quite old charm here, as the building was built in the 1920s....

  • See where it gets steamy!

Serving as a spot for jazzy music and a place to grab late night grub, Steamers is a unique spot in downtown Fullerton, and for Orange County at large. This is a kind of place grown folks go- those in the 30-40 crowd usually, but anyone into jazz and a more quiet nighttime venue would enjoy the atmosphere here. Some big names in jazz have played...

  • Rustic Restaurant Slash Cool...

Well, Friday night began innocent enough in good ol' Fullerton. Among the booming dining spots that locals and others go to for a Friday filling is Revolucion. This is a typical Mexican-style joint eaterie serving up tacos, burritos, frijoles (y mucho mas). It is not really worthy to make a restaurant tip for it, at least a highly recomendable one...

Just head north on Harbor Blvd. from Disneyland. The ride, depending on traffic should be about 10...

I discovered this place while roaming around. The HUGE clown shoes in the window caught my eye and I wandered in. Beside food, there was much fanfare- concerts, raffles and common day mingling. Three major acts...

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Part 1 of my big project last year: the Modern Day Saints Series. The master plan is to create a painting of each of my friends into modern versions of saints. I've got two male frinds in the works right now as Patron Saints of Afros and Anger/Destruction. This is Meghan, my good friend since first grade. She formerly used and quite abused drugs...I mean serious stuff here. We lost close touch for a few years while she was cleaning up her act. Now she's clean and loves to write, hence the notebook & ballpoint pen. The drugs set her back many years though. At least she's straight again. She rules.

This is called 'Our Lady of Hard Knocks'

Miscellaneous: Fullerton is warmer than the coast of CA. It would be wise to bring a t-shirt and shorts in the summer, and a jacket for the night-time. Winter is never really all that cold either. This is a Good luck painting in oil. The book is The Catcher in the Rye. Symbols from around the world.
