SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK: the General Sherman

    The General Sherman

Favorite thing: This is the reason for everybody come to this place, even if the rest of the park deserves a visit as well.
    This is the:
    - gigantic
    - majestic
    - unbelievable
    - embarassing
    General Sherman!
The sign said (too ignorant not to believe it) "the biggest living being on earth, 3200 years old, 90 meters tall" and God only knows how heavy is it.

    the Sequoia forest

    Favorite thing: SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK.
This destination was almost doomed to miss my presence even this year.
My plans were bringing me somewhere else, but flood in the Death Valley rerouted us southwards towards Fresno, so we had the chance to visit this place. Not well connected to the rest of the California roads' web, it forced us to another long deviation, but what we found was worth the miles driven. This is the entrance

    Giant redwoods

by acemj Written Jun 15, 2004

Favorite thing: If you visit Northern California, be sure to visit a one of the area's Redwood groves. Sequoia National Park is a great place, or you can also see these giants at Yosemite. Sequoias are part of the Redwood family. Check out the link below for a link for different California destinations to see the trees.

Favorite thing: Sequoia is the second-oldest national park in the United States. It was established in 1890 to protect the Big Trees in Giant Forest, including the General Sherman Tree, the world's largest living thing.

Favorite thing: I was most impressed with the Sequoia National Park and the enormous trees. The ocean and beach is fine but I lived on a ship for 3 1/2 years and the trees appealed to me more.

Fondest memory: The Sequoia National Park.

I pray for this REFUGE I covet your prayers as well . .Can anything good come from NAZARETH?
