Palate + Food + Wine: Tapas and Wine
GracesTrips Says:
Well, this is a new restaurant in Glendale. Glendale has many ethnic restaurants so it seem like a nice addition to have an upscale restaurant with small plates and trendy atmosphere. What a disappointment! The food was extremely expensive for what you get. The food was just...

GracesTrips Says:
Just happen to notice this place and stopped to have some lunch. Very nice bar set up and they have a no nonsense menu of basic items such as burgers, sandwiches and appetizers. But don't let the menu fool you, they really make up a nice plate of food. I ordered the mushroom...
Fresco Ristorante: Italian Cuisine

The Toasted Bun Restaurant: Small Diner

The diner is clean but the decor is old fashioned. The people who work the diner aren't dressed as your typical restaurant workers. The service isn't fast so have some patience. The food is so-so. Prices are reasonable.

Discover Armenian outside Armenia
Helpfulness
marinarena 1033 reviews
What makes Glendale stand out is that it is home to a signifcant number of Armenian persons-the largest population outside of Armenia itself. As you walk down Glendale streets, you may very likely hear "barev" as well as "hello". How interesting to have a place to where it would be common to hear and experience all that is Armenian and also not be far away from what's Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Korean, Russian, etc. Several shops have bilingual English-Armenian postings. Personally, I like the curving shape of the Armenian alphabet. See what I mean in this movie poster pictured! Armenian culture is well promoted at the renowned Alex Theater, which hosts a good number of plays, musical acts from Armenia throughout the year. Another way to experience Armenian culture is to try the food- at a restaurant like Raffi's or try a common Middle Eastern or kebob(kabob) restaurant in teh city which will likely have Armenian influence.

Coyote's
Helpfulness
Yaqui 4152 reviews
Coyote attacks on humans are uncommon and rarely cause serious injuries, due to the relatively small size of the coyote. In the 30 years leading up to March 2006, at least 160 attacks occurred in the United States, mostly in the Los Angeles County area.[1] Since 1998 coyote attacks on humans have increased in the state of California. Data from USDA Wildlife Services, the California Department of Fish and Game, and other sources show that while 41 attacks occurred during the period of 1988–1997, 48 attacks were verified from 1998 through 2003. The majority of these incidents occurred in Southern California near the suburban-wildland interface.[2]

Eat a Crepe - American Style!
This isn't exactly "Off the Beaten Path" as it is located at Americana at Brand shopping center. But, it's not a restaurant so I kinda think it's something you have to keep your eye out for. Called the Crepemaker, the French would have a heart attack if they saw what we do with crepes here. You can get a pizza crepe, crepe with filet mignon, crepes florentine with egg and sweet crepes as well. They don't serve it like the French either. They fold it up into a triangle and hand it to you to eat without utencils. You can grab a paper plate and plasticware but it's not offered. I must say, the crepes were delicious and very filling. Make sure to try one if you're in the area!
Located at 699 Americana Way, Glendale, CA 91210 Across from Barnes & Noble.

Favorite thing: With its congested Galleria as one of the most popular malls in the region, Glendale is a local favorite amongst Just outside of the Galleria there is downtown Glendale which has a long stretch of cultural and mindless fun along Brand Blvd. Check out the Glendale Exchange and Marketplace for main and commercial shopping. Along Brand, there are some unique boutiques as well.
