Glendora Things to Do

  • Xspecht's Profile Photo

There are many great trails to hike in Glendora that go back up in to the San Gabriel Mountains. In fact, there are several up Glendora Mountain Road and there is the Garcia trail on Sierra Madre Avenue behind the fire station near the Azusa border. That one is very steep, but the view is great from the top!

Glendora Restaurants

  • Great Little Mexican Restaurant

Sergio's is a great family owned restaurant. What stands out about this restaurant is a couple things. One is the outdoor patio dining. Even during the winter months, they have heaters outside to keep you warm. It's refreshing to eat outside! The second outstanding thing is their homemade corn tortillas - just simply delicious! I will always order...

  • Best Burger for the Price!

This is an upscale, fast food, burger place! They use 100 percent Wagyu Kobe beef. Burger comes with this amazing bun that is between a croissant and Hawaiian bread, meat patty, carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli! Then for a nominal cost of $.75 - $1.35, you can add avocado, cheese, sauteed mushrooms, bacon, fried egg. They also...

  • Nostalgic Diner Type Restaurant

Great nostalgic ambience and the food isn't bad either. Order up at the counter and they will bring the food to your table. Condiments and salsa bar up front. Lots of parking available.

  • Great Thai Food! Really!

The appearance from the outside doesn't look like much. In fact, I have passed it several times but never thought about checking it out. But, upon my quest to get to know my new town a little better, I googled best restaurants in Glendora. This one was rated quite well. And, in deed, worthy of the nod! The creaminess of the Panang Curry was...

  • Great Breakfast!

Breakfast and lunch is served here. And, the breakfast menu is quite extensive. My critique of any breakfast for a restaurant is ordering eggs benedict and it was quite good. My boyfriend enjoys a good omelet. He wants it to be fluffly, not flat and Flappy Jacks came through. So, we're try it again soon and I'll order something more exotic next...

  • Breakfast and Lunch

A tiny, whole in the wall, kind of place. The food was acceptable and we'll try it again. My boyfriend enjoyed an omelet and I had the turkey burger which I thought was quite good. I ordered a side of cole slaw which was not great. So, next time, I'll have a different side. Dining outside on the sidewalk was very nice. There is indoor dining but...

  • Good Ol' American Grub

Burgers, sandwiches, pizza, salads and beer. Outdoor dining area is nice in the evening hours, indoor dining is like a sports bar. Pretty big beer selection.

  • Italian Food

It's not the fanciest Italian restaurant but for the price and convenience, I prefer this over fast food any day! They have all the basic dishes you would expect at an Italian restaurant. Located in a shopping center with Sport Chalet, it's always busy.Make your reservations on opentable.com and earn points. See web link...

  • Unexpected Culinary Treat!

This wonderful restaurant is located in a Stater Brother's shopping center. Doesn't look like much from the outside. Once inside, you feel like it could be a sort of upscale dining experience but for the most part, dress is very casual. The food is what I call Euro-Asian. Items ranging from crabcake or ahi tuna (sashimi) salad, to seafood or carne...

Glendora Shopping

  • Wonderful Yarn Shop!

I enjoy making scarves. I've tried hats and blankets but it never works out. So, I'm sticking to making scarves. I love to find unique, colorful yarns and that is often hard to do. One of my favorites yarns comes from Eisaku Noro Ltd. It is not cheap but I think worth the money. This yarn is hard to come by but they have them at this shop!

  • More for your Buck!

Sam's Club is a membership warehouse store. Anyone can join. It costs about $40 a year. The upside is that if you need to buy a lot of anything, you will pay an extremely great price. Everything sold at Sam's is in bulk. Toilet papers comes in quantity of 60+ rolls. You buy 2 gallons of milk at a time. The fresh salmon is $4.99 per pound but you...

If you want to enjoy a unique experience in Glendora, why not visit a tea house. A very tiny, special tea house with a pretty long list of teas to choose from is just amazing. The menu varies from simple to a full course tea service. Foods range from scones, salads, soups, tiny sandwiches and desserts. We enjoyed the Royal Tea for mother's day and had a great time.

Located at: 185 North Vermont Avenue,Glendora, CA 91741

I just moved to the City of Glendora and still trying to get to know the city a little better. I found a hiking trail but it was rather short for my taste. It's called the Colby Trail and you can reach it from a couple of routes. The way we went was north on Loraine Avenue which ends in a cul de sac. You can visibly see the entrance to the trail. I haven't tried the other route yet but you can go north on Glendora Mountain Road. Just past the equestrian park you should see Colby Dalton Trail on the left side of the road.

Equipment: Sunglasses, sunscreen, bottle water, tissue.
