Blue 32 is one of the more popular 20's - 30's something hangout bars in Hermosa Beach. It is located on Hermosa Avenue just north of Pier Ave. The club has live music 5 days a week until 8:00pm(or so) and then switches to Top 40 music at 9pm (they have a DJ). It is considered a "lounge" but on the weekends, Blue 32 is by all definition a nightclub; loud music, go-go dancers, dark decor, wall to wall people and lots of alcohol. I generally like Blue 32, although it's a pretty small club and on the weekends there is a line down the street to get in. Blue 32 does serve food and although I've only eaten there once, it was pretty good! I highly recommend the Kobe beef burgers.

Perfect for a date, an evening break from the beach, but especially for anyone looking to laugh is the Comedy and Magic Club. Featuring mostly stand-up comedians., this is the premiere place to catch poular acts outside of the The Comedy Store in the Hollywood/West Hollywood area. What a wonderful setting for the venue being by the waves! For any fan of Jay Leno, as I am, you can easily catch him here. People think he owns the place but he just is a devoted patron here. Other acts that have been here include some of the Wayan brothers, and Ray Romano- but these are really a few to name! Musical acts and special performers also appear here. Actual more than decent dinner options, ranging from $10-$20 are offered, as well as spirits of the alcoholic variety, that is. Check website for latest schedule and other info!
classy casual would be the norm here but nothing strict Leave a Comment

Located in a strip mall, you would never have had any idea this place existed! But, this hole in the wall caters to a local crowd with Karaoke nights and live music on other nights. This place feels likea biker bar.

I am the queen bee!!! ;-) by bruingirl A place where people can resort back to silly, college frat-boy or sorority girl behavior. Rather inexpensive drinks. Great happy hour from 4-7pm on the weekdays. $1 draft beer. Cheap!!!!
Beach casual during the day - flip flops, shorts, etc...Some people change into jeans and a nicer shirt at night. Anything goes. Theme: Eating and DrinkingAddress: 50A Pier Ave.Phone: 310-798-9762Directions: The Pier in Hermosa Beach.Website: www.patrickmolloys.com

Pub Crawl!!! by bruingirl Although in this picture, we are dressed in Hawaiian gear, the normal attire here is much dressier. This is the place to be for dancing here in Hermosa on any given weekend night. They also have good food - make reservations for dinner and you won't have to wait in line for the dancing part. Make sure you do it before 9pm though.
At night: Dressier attire. No sneakers or flip-flops or shorts. In the day: Whatever your heart desires.... Theme: Eating and DrinkingDirections: Pier.

by bruingirl This place is ALWAYS packed! A big hit with the singles scene. Sharkeez has good music and dancing in the weekend evenings. A very casual place with sawdust on the floor practically! It is essentially a sports bar that gets juiced up in the evenings. If you're looking for a meat market, this is it. It is totally different during the day though with mostly just sports fanatics.
Beach casual. Pretty much anything goes. Lots of guys will wear Hawaiian shirts and khaki shorts and flip flops during the summer. Some people do dress to impress in the evenings though. Theme: Eating and DrinkingPhone: 310-545-6563Directions: On the Pier in Hermosa Beach

by janders The Hermosa Beach Pier has lots of different bars and clubs to visit. Get down there early, 8pm, if you want to get in and not wait in line.
Dress codes are relaxed in some bars. NO GANG LOOKING CLOTHES!! But Clubs want you to wear nice pants and shirts. NO T-SHIRTS OR BAGGY CLOTHES!!! Watch the T.V. Show on Fox called " The O.C." to see what kind of clothes to waer, to the clubs only. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: Hermosa Beach Pier areaDirections: Hermosa Beach Pier

Sangria is a cool litlle club/bar/restaurant located along a row of other bars on the Hermosa Beach Pier. During the day its a great place to grab some mexican food at night it turns into a club. There are 2 rooms, one plays mainly hiphop and the other is house, i think. It gets really crowded here and everywhere else on the pier. There is a cover charge of around 10$ if you can even get in. Its gets filled to capacity pretty early. Lines get long, but dont worry there are other places along the pier that you can go to. But Sangria is the only club type. If you want to go to a club with a relaxed beach vibe, this is the place to go.
The dress code is pretty casual. Since the place is located right next to a pier, i believe they even let you wear slippers. Leave a Comment Theme: NightclubAddress: Hermosa Beach Pier

The Cruz Room is the newest edition to the Hermosa Beach nightlife scene. Located next to Padone's Pizzeria and completely unmarked, it is a hidden social scene that creates an intimate and secluded atmosphere! *Update* 04/2008 - the Cruz Room is no longer the best place to go to find nightlife in Hermosa Beach. The city recently cracked down on bars/restaurant obeying their capacity limit and much to the Cruz room's disappointment (and ultimately every local bars disappointment) the 50 person ceiling doesn't provide a great talent pool for mingling and socializing...thus you go to a bar with a larger capacity limit.
