Monday night features all you can eat sushi, and the place goes off. I'm updating this tip now to say that I haven't been there in a couple years now... but it used to be a real party spot on Mondays... if you don't want loud/party scene... then try someplace else. Try Kina in Manhattan. See my Manhattan tip.
this place is gone now... but there is a new sushi place there in the same spot called Hama Hermosa... i went there once... 2 of the 5 people with us got sick there... not sure if I'll go back

Great ambience! Small and intimate setting where you can have a romantic dinner for two or invite a group of friends to join you for a fun outing! There's two rooms. One is usually for parties of 10 or more. Good food, unbelievable prices, and BYOB! What more could you ask for??? :)

They have great breakfast sandwiches and regular sandwiches and macaroni salad, potato salad, that kind of deli salad. I go there a lot after practice. They use really good Boar's Head brand meat, which is really good.

This historic Italian restaurant is nestled on a quiet Hermosa Beach side street and has been serving great wines and amazing food for over 35 years! The staff is competent and polite, the food delicious and slightly decadent, and the atmosphere is beach side cozy. For an especially romantic evening, request a table in the restaurant's wine cellar, and gaze upon the rows of Pinots, Cabs, and Chardonnay as you nibble your courses.
The restaurant has a four star wine list, including great bottles of hard to find Bordeaux and several choices of Opus One.
~Started off with the "Insalata della Casa" A mix of romaine, artichokes, hearts of palm, red onion shavings, mushrooms, and house dressing. Light, crisp, and clean...and very fresh!
~Main entree was the chicken parmigiana, the breaded chicken breast was thin and cooked to perfection. The side of angel hair pasta was the perfect compliment.
~Simple desert: Vanilla Bean Ice Cream.
