Parking becomes a problem the later you wait. There is a parking structure to the north of the pier and a lot to the south.
LIMITED SPOTS.
Drinking alochol outside of the bars/clubs is not allowed and fines are tripled. Lots of under cover police.

Beware of drunk boys who may attempt to grab your ass. This is part of the initial mating ritual here in the beach cities. This type of behavior seems most prevalent in places like Sharkeez and Patrick Molloy's (Patty Molloy's).

This is less of a tip and more of a follow-up on a tip posted by rushere in the HB warnings and dangers sections. As a resident of Hermosa for allmost 23 years, I have gotten to know many of the officers here personaly, I can say that that information provided by rushere is false. My guess he got drunk, out of hand and then arrested. This posting is his attempt at getting back at them.
The fact of the matter is that thousands of out -of -towners flood the city each weekend to party at
one of our many bars, somthing most us here are used to, the problem starts when the bars close and drunks hit the streets, fighting, peeing, etc. in quiet neighborhoods As for his comments on drinking and driving, come on, I have had 2 of my friends die in drinking related car crashes. If you come to Hermosa and plan on drinking and driving I hope you go Jail. We have plenty of Taxis that run 24 hours a day.

Hermosa Police are NOT there to "serve and protect" They are there like a bunch of vultures waiting to ticket you. The parking police are horrible and don't make the mistake of drinking and driving...they are watching everywhere!!! Very very bad! Lots of cell phones ripped off too if you're careless. Don't leave your stuff out of your site. Don't swim outside of designated areas!

Don't try to eat the restaurant menu like this diner is doing. Although it might be high in fiber, the inks can be toxic and you never know where those menus have been.

Hermosa Beach lives up to her name, being quite pretty but even better, quaint. The latter adjective is trite to describe cities and region, but in the case of Hermosa Beach, quaint is just the right...
