Favorite thing: If you have a chance to go to Hollywood,I think many people go to there. It's enough to go once but it is really nice place. I went to there on Sunday but it was little bit rainy so not crowded. So if you don't want to rush at there, how about go to rainy day or wet weather?
Yes, yes.... Universal Studios Hollywood again...
This is the home of America's most famous psychopath - Norman Bates... the owner of The Bates Hotel. Remember him from Alfred Hitchcock's movie PSYCHO? Hey, relax... I'm not calling you that... It's the MOVIE I was referring to. :-))
visit Universal Studios Hollywood...
Fondest memory: Catch one of the many 'live' shows staged here... This particular one is the ANIMAL ACTORS STAGE. At the Animal Actors Stage, Hollywood's top animal trainers work with the world's largest collection of animal stars from film and television. More than 60 animals perform in the show... ranging from superstars like Beethoven (of 'Beethoven' and 'Beethoven 2' fame) and Luke ('Baywatch')... to the more exoticRed-Tailed Hawk ('Ladyhawke') etc.
Have I forgotten to mention...??
Universal Studios is opened daily EXCEPT on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Admission ticket cost: US$41+ (for Adults).
Another look at Universal Studios Hollywood.
I have since visited this park three times over the years.... (I just looove theme parks!) and my personal favorite rides/ attractions are:
Jurassic Park - The Ride. One of the most popular rides here... and you'll wish this was just a movie..... :-)
E.T. Adventure Ride... Weeeeee!
Back To The Future Ride.... I was screaming soooo loudly that the guy next to me must have been scared off his wits! :-))
Enjoy the greatest time of your life here!
spend a day at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Welcome to the world’s #1 motion picture and television attraction/ theme park. If you come during the BUSY summer months, you must be prepared to queue up for at least one hour PER RIDE. Sigh... Fortunately for me, I had friends who were Universal Studios theme park fans and they literally taught me how to escape the crowds. :-)
The first attraction you MUST take is the Backlot Tram Tour. I heard that the latest tram tour includes scenes from the movie 'The Mummy'. Wow, I can't wait to visit this theme park again!
HOT TIP: If you can, choose to sit on the THIRD CARRIAGE... RIGHT SIDE of the tram. You will be able to snap the BEST pics... because the action seems to be happening on this side of the tram! My pics turned out great because I followed my friends' advice.
Fondest memory: How can I forget? It was soooo fun!
Here's the gist of it - Board a giant tram and they drive you past you a number of authentic movie locations... such as the 'Hill Valley courthouse' building (where lightning struck the clock... remember?) in the 'Back to the Future' films. You also get to see a New York street where parts of 'The Sting' (which starred Paul Newman and Robert Redford... loved this movie!) were filmed.... the original bordello from 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas'.... the creepy old mansion from 'Psycho'.... a Mexican village where they filmed 'Three Amigos' and a number of spots where TV shows like 'Leave It to Beaver' were shot.
For Hollywood film buffs (er... that would certainly be me!), this is probably the most interesting part the 45-minute tour!
You can also peek down the throat of a mechanical 'Jaws' shark as he leaps for your tram.... walk through a burning warehouse in 'Backdraft'.... ride a supercharged DeLorean in 'Back to the Future' with 'Doc' Brown... experience an 8.3 trembler 'Earthquake'.... sail on a flying bicycle over the city with your best friend 'E.T.'.... or even meet 'Frankenstein', Marilyn Monroe and a W.C. Fields impersonator along one of the side streets.
Hey, Universal Studios didn't even make the movie 'King Kong' but they still threw him in!
P.S. Please also browse through my 'LOS ANGELES' travel page. I have some pics placed in there too... Thanks!
It's very worth visiting Universal Studios and taking their Backlot Tour if you enjoy seeing how movies are made. I found it educational and fun!
Fondest memory: While I was there, they were getting ready for the annual Christmas Parade. The TV station crew were setting up their equipment and interviewed me for the local news as a British tourist visiting for the first time.
If you like take a funny picture.Universal Studios is quite nice. They don't have good nature but many statue, buildings, and movie characters.
I have big foot !!!!!
Still at Universal Studios Hollywood....
Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the waters..... Watch out for JAWS!
This is the main entrance to the glorious Universal Studios Hollywood.
Enjoy your day at the theme park!
