by KiNyA First I arrived in LAX International Airport. Jeannie (our host) picked us up there. Jeannie drove us all around with her fancy car. So, I sugget you to rent a car, but be careful that you don't stuck on your way. For exploring city centre just walk, relax, and have fun! Leave a Comment Theme: Airplane

The Burbank Airport is SUBSTANTIALLY less crowded than LAX. If you can avoid LAX, try landing at Burbank, it really is an easy airport to get in and out of and it's the closest airport to Hollywood proper. Leave a Comment

Day Pass by funnybeee I would walk from my hotel to Hollywood Blvd and I would take the bus to go get around. A day pass costs 3 dollars and I could use it the whole day through. I would buy the ticket in the bus and pay with exact change. I had no problems at all riding the Metro Busses... it was very convenient, safe and clean. I would make sure to be home before the night would set in. The MTA's website is EXCELLENT!!! It is so informative and explains very clearly how the system works. It also has pdf file maps so that you can see where the lines go... go check out their website, you will not regret it. Leave a Comment

No Pedestrians by funnybeee The first thing I said when I came to Los Angeles was: "Where are the pedestrians?" Hardly no one walks here. It is totally not pedestrian friendly, so don't do it... everything is so widespread, you need to take Public Transportation or better a car. One day I walked from Franklin/LaBrea Ave to Melrose Ave. Boy was I stupid... I did not realize that the blocks here are so much bigger and that stuff here is so incredibly wide spread. Car by funnybeee Since everything is so incredibly wide spread around here (and in the whole of LA) you really need a car... For instance the supermarket was way too far for me to walk to. Almost everything is just that little bit too far to walk. Quite annoying. Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home

Walking is the best way to get around Hollywood. Don't even bother trying to drive. You will get to each destination quicker by walking then by car. Leave a Comment Theme: Other
