Combined Suggestions, Hollywood
Well, at night if you're at a wits end as to what to do.... you can catch a movie at the El Capitan Theater. A movie ticket is not cheap though.
In 1991, this former Paramount Theater was reopened by Disney and Pacific Theaters following a glorious restoration of this Hollywoood gem situated across the street from Mann's Chinese Theater and... from my hotel. Every major animated release from Walt Disney Pictures Animation premieres here - complete with a live stage show and more!

Alternatively, if you don't want to spend too much $$$, you can just drive along Hollywood Boulevard and watch some interesting characters. My friend and I were driving along this stretch of road one Saturday night and man... we could hear EXTREMELY LOUD music blaring from one car after another. :-)
Living la vida loca!
Unlike my favorite Miami, Clubs here in Hollywood unfortunately close at 2AM. One spot I ended up a couple of times is The Body Shop, a gentlemens club that at 2AM was everyones club, as girls and guys alike would pour in here for a good time. If you're partying on the Sunset Strip, its late and you still have energy check it out!
Dress Code: Wear what you want! I gaurantee you'll be wearing more than the girls! Ha!
My favorite bars:
1). The Room-
An Unmarked door hides this dark, little groove bar w/DJ.
1626 N. Cahuenga Boulevard
2). Lava Lounge-
It's Hawaii 5-0 meets Route 66, live music.
1533 N. La Brea Ave.
