The Hollywood and Highland Center is a five story enclosed mall with a wide variety of trendy shops and places to eat. It also has the Kodak Theater, movie theaters, bowling lanes, and night clubs. You can stay at the nearby Hollywood Renaissance Hotel if you wish. The center is open 10 AM to 10 PM Monday through Saturday and 10 AM to 7 PM on Sunday. If you're looking for an Oscar-shaped statuette that says something like "best mom" or "best teacher" you're going to find it on Hollywood Boulevard. There is a hard-to-miss liberal atmosphere and attitude here. Conservatives beware!
There are often concerts by indie acts that occur in -store. However, in recent years, the most hyped performance here was by Paul McCartney.
Note that there are no public restrooms in-store due to the nature of Hollywood.
Parking garage is connected to store. rates vary but is $1-2 for an hour. If you can manage, take the Metro Red Line or bus here (MTA bus 2, 702)
Other Amoeba locations are in northern CA.

Crowds, mostly teens to those in the 20s gather here in the evening. Of course, you'll find old fart philes too flipping through all of the goodies in the aisles. As one with an artistic eye, I could not overlook the colorful murals along the exterior peripheral. (See pics) Leave a Comment

Hustler of Hollywood is a coffeeshop, bookshop, and sex shop. It is a very avant-guarde store and is a great place to mosey around with a date. Probably the most famous part of the store is their line of lingerie and sex toys. They also have an interesting set of mannequins displaying their goods. Here one can find practically every type of fetish sex items. For example, hanging from the ceiling they have a sex swing. There also have whips, chains, and practically anything that you can think of that can boost sexual performance. This store is one of a kind and it is located right on the Sunset Strip.
Buy yourself a latte, wander around and window shop.
