Walk of Fame, Hollywood

With all the people crossing, we could not get a proper photo of the walk of fame, but we tried our best :-), it is really difficult to get the famous ones, but we got this one :-)

"Here's a good trivia question for you...Name four animals that appear on the Hollywood walk of fame"

"Um, um good one. I suppose this is one of the few places where you are not actually seen as a weirdo for getting out and walking in LA."

"Yep, and it's a reasonable walk to pick out all 2,000 of the stars. Most of them I will have never heard of either. It will be interesting to see how many Brits are in there"

"It includes music as well, so I'm sure the Beatles appear for instance"

A good part of Hollywood Boulevard is paved with star shaped tiles, with the names of movie stars, musicians, film directors, etc. This part of Hollywood Boulevard is named the Walk of Fame.

I found many names that I´d never heard of, so a lot of these guys must have been famous quite some time ago, perhaps in the fourties or fifties.

Do not bump into someone else while reading the tiles!

These renowned sidewalk "stars" salute the celebrities who made Hollywood great - from the silent film stars of yesteryear to the modern action heroes of today's blockbusters. As the song says, you'll see the names of:

These sidewalk "stars" honor not only movie actors, but radio, TV, & stage performers, directors, singers, songwriters, and other well-known show-biz personalities.

Right below the name of each celebrity on the five-pointed stars is a small, round emblem which illustrates the celebrity's category, with one of five symbols: a motion picture camera for movie stars & directors), a television set for those in the television industry), a phonograph record (for singers, songwriters, and recording artists, a radio microphone for radio luminaries, and the twin theatrical masks of comedy & tragedy for live stage performers.

Walk along the famous 'Walk of Fame' looking your favourite's actor/actress stars. My favourites ones are: Pierce Brosnan (picture), Mel Gibson, Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks.
Feel your hands in the same place where your favourite star had them.

Lot of small shops where to buy souvenirs and other stuffs (don't spend too much).

I can say that Hollywood is Hollywood sign and Hollywood Blvd with basicaly its walk of fame that contains stars of all celebrities, if you expect something else you will be despointed may be. ;)

Here's Skye820 at Marilyn Monroe's star. Notice the resemblence? Both are seminal blonde bombshells of their time.
